For this assignment I had to create an a scene/ emotion/ expression with just four shapes.

Results-
9/10 on all three and top of class :)
Here's what I learnt from the process-
My letter to my professor Mr.Parth Vyas who wanted to teach us to break down the world to simple forms.

[2:20 PM, 5/18/2021] Divya Saibabu: From doing the Shape of You assignments I have learnt to express my emotions in a simple way. I have a tendency to overcomplicate things not only related to my artwork but also while I write. This usually overshadows my creativity and the output looks process based. With these assignments also I started out with a very complicated map design while some else just made a pizza slice. I did not really showcase my emotions or my thought but just did what was asked.
For the next one I managed to add my thoughts and feelings to the SOY. I have a family who is into music and we are always at every concert possible. So I wanted to portray that. A room with just musicians and nothing else. But even that was still not as simply put as it could have been.
After I received feedback to try and simplify it, it really hit me. I was out with my close friend drinking tea and we always do this where we meet in the evenings at the same chai tappri and just have a light conversation. In that moment I feel very grateful and stress free. Without even realising I knew how I would turn that emotion into my SOY.
I could automatically process it without any complicated ideas coming into my head. It felt liberating from those extra thoughts I always had and I am glad that it came across to you as well. It really helped me grow in this way
