SymBiz (The global entrepreneurship summit)

SymBiz is the global entrepreneurship summit organised by the Centre of Innovation and entrepreneurship at Symbiosis college of arts and commerce,Pune.

This was the first edition on the event and had an esteemed panel of speakers such as Mr.Anil Swarup, Dr. Ganesh Natrajan, Mr. Jonathan Hollander to name a few.

My role:

I was the Creative Head for the event and was responsibilities included team selection, conceptualization, execution of the creatives of the event i.e. Stage designs, venue decor etc.

Stage Design

Concept: Hexagon is one of the strongest shapes known and covers the widest area with the least number of shapes. Strength is one of the most essential qualities of an entrepreneur, be it physical or mental.

How we did it:

I prepared an AutoCad drawing of the frame and placed in the hexagon shapes to calculate the number of hexagons that would be required.

We cut out the hexagons from corrugated hseets and painted them in pink, purple and red acrylics.

We mounted these hexagons on the frame using duck tape and masking tape.

Learning: The heat from the flood lights melt the glue on the tape. To fix this quickly we stuck more tape temporarily but used other materail like, thread and this mistake

Business plan Competition

Stage decor:

A business plan competition was conducted under Symbiz in the Audio Visual room in our college, the decoration of which was also the responsibility of me team.

How we made it:

• We measured out the area and made marking with masking tape on the floor of our workspace.

• We then lay out the design with chart papers on the floor and made marking on the chart paper as a guide for placement on the actual wall in the AV Hall.

• We then pasted the chart papers on the wall making sure to use only masking tape, so as to avoid staining the wall.
