TEDx SCAC is the flagship event of Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce. It is organised on campus each year by the students and this year our theme was Resilience.
Resilience:The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
Stage Design
My team and I conceptualized the stage design to prominently showcase our theme all while making sure to stay within the strict TEDx guidelines.

About The Stage:
The stage is a series of vertically mounted hexagons in an interlocking pattern. The hexagon is the strongest shape known. In a hexagonal grid each line is as short as it can possibly be if a large area is to be filled with the fewest number of hexagons.shape. This also worked for us well as we were on a tight budget and with this pattern we were able to cover a wide area with the fewest possible material.
The hexagons were painted in the colours of TEDx i.e. white, red and black. On this base we painted doodles that also depicted... guess what... Resilience! The doodles were also a way to keep the youthful spirit alive, because at the end of the day it was an event organised by a bunch of 20 yr olds.

Photo booth
We set up this interactive photo booth (themed resilience) a week before the event in one of the main hallway's. This created a lot of hype among the students for the event. Many of them took pictures and tagged our official instagram handle @tedxscac, which also increased our follower count.
Photo Wall
We set up a another photowall in the hall way but this was designed with the aim of being more informative. The frames contain pictures and quotes (that we found online) which show the true meaning of resilience. Through this depiction we tried to put across the message of the power of resilience.
